SFDA Testing
Shiva Analyticals is identified and notified under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for testing raw materials and products imported to Gulf Countries to ensure that the quality meets the required standards.
Shiva Analyticals is a notified laboratory under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) for testing samples and providing a "Certificate of Analysis ". Our parent company, Cotecna, is also approved by the Saudi Food & Drugs Authority (SFDA) for providing a "Certificate of Conformity" for raw materials and products from the Indian subcontinent.
As per the Circular dated 18.10.2018, the SFDA has intimated that 30 labs in India are identified for testing samples to ensure that the pesticides and other product qualities are well within the specified limits for all fruits and vegetables, meat and spices exports. It is also mentioned that the results from these approved labs are to be enclosed with the shipments, mentioning that the export consignments must comply with the required technical and approved standard. The list of the approved labs are attached for information and compliance by the exporters. Henceforth for exports to Saudi Arabia, the exporters have to comply with the above requirements to avoid rejection/ban of their exports.
